Hi!

It has been some time since I posted anything, but I haven't been idle.
I have several figures on the benchwork but this is my first complete figure in a long time.

This bust is amazing, has lot's af good details, which means it is a lot of work to finish, but I loved working on it. Highly recommend this bust, totally worth the money.

British Soldier Expeditionary Force, Dunkirk, 1940 - Complete

Hi,

I've been working on this bust for the last couple of months or so and got to finish it this weekend.
As always, Life Miniatures provides a terrific cast - the best in IMHO -, no mould lines, excellent sculpture.
I had a great time working in this one.

The base was made by Mr. Franco Serra.

Tiger I LAH Division at Kharkov

Hi,

This is a bit out of my normal medium, but I really wanted to do some AFV for some time, so I took a risk with the legendary Tiger tank.

The kit is the old Tamiya. I didn't want to spend too much money on a better kit because I was kind of afraid of spoil it.

The figures are from Alpine Miniatures, and are really great! Lot's of details for the scale, excellent to assemble and very easy to clean. The figures are not cheap, but are worth it!

Regarding the painting I must say it was a totally different challenge from what I'm used to. I don't have an airbrush, so it was painted using only brushes.

I didn't use the decalls, because I really don't like those things... I knew that I had the skill to free hand paint the markings, so I choose to do it and I'm happy with the result.

Had to purchase some enamel paints to do the weathering and terrain to achieve a better weathering and ground work, but the majority of the painting of the Tiger is acrylics, including the white wash.

In conclusion, it was a nice effort and I really loved the work of kit assembly and painting and I'm very happy with the result.

Minuteman 1775 75mm

Hi,

This is my second attempt with this figure. This time I took a more monochromatic approach and with a bigger base included some accessories, scracth made by me. Maybe I'll add some more, but for now it stays like this.

Red Baron Bust by Alexandros Models

In this post I show my work on the Alexandros Models Red Baron bust.
Not really left to say about this piece. The face is superbly sculpted, as well as the jacket.
The painting of his clean face was the hardest part on this bust, but I'm very satisfied with the result.

It depicts Manfred von Richthofen aka Red Baron, the German ace fighter pilot that fought for the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) in the First World War. His airplane was the all-red Fokker Dr.I triplane.
Despite being offically credited with 80 air combat victories, he was shot down and killed in Amiens, near Vaux-sur-Somme, France, on 21 April 1918. He was twenty five years old.

Grouchy 75mm Pegaso Models

This figure has been on my bench for a long while but now it's finally finished.

It's a very nice piece to work, that required a lot of patience when painting the embroidery. It was a daunting task for me.
